Artistic report

Situated somewhere in the deserts of Namibia.

The being Heraclitus termed the logos is the Intelligence that directs, orders and endows with harmony the flow of changes that occur in existence. It is a substantial intelligence present in all things. The cube can be seen as the archetypal manifestation of human intelligence, but situated inside it is the original sphere linked to primordial cosmology. ‘Leku’ means place in Basque; here it means knowledge.

We are able to enter the cube, the Leku logos, through a round hole that leads inside it. Once within, we find ourselves in the middle a sphere that occupies the entire interior space of the cube. Light enters through a square-shaped window.

The cube measures 11 x 11 x 11 m and is made of sheets of metal 3 cm thick. The cylindrical opening is 1.75 m in diameter and is situated 20 cm above ground level.
